Laura Rovizzi has been CEO and founder of Open Gate Italia since 2008. An economist specialising in corporate strategy and regulatory affairs, she focuses on regulation, business development and strategy for companies operating in regulated markets, with particular expertise in the telecommunications, media, ICT and energy sectors.
Throughout her career, she has gained solid managerial and academic experience in Italy and abroad. She was a senior researcher at the London Business School and at Columbia University in New York, and has held managerial positions at Olivetti, Omnitel/Vodafone, Enel, Eolo and, most recently, Wind Telecomunicazioni, where she was head of the Internet and multimedia division, director of the Libero portal and director of Strategic Planning.
She is the founder and shareholder of Firstonline.info, an online newspaper dedicated to economics, finance and markets, and an independent member of the boards of directors of listed companies. Since 2020, she has been a lecturer and co-director of the Master’s programme in Institutional Relations and Market Regulation at LUMSA University.
